Dengue: Nilavembu kudineer distributed to people in all zones

Students from various city colleges and employees of DBC inspected houses in all the five zones of the City Corporation to create an awareness on Dengue among the public.

This follows an order from Corporation Commission and Special Officer Dr. K. Vijayakarathikeyan to prevent the spread of Dengue in the city.

‘Nilavembu kudineer’ was provided to the people in all the five zones.

City Welfare Officer Maru. K. Santhoshkumar briefed Zonal Health Officers with the help of a short film on Dengue prevention. A power point presentation has also been prepared to spread awareness among the disease.

Medical camps are being conducted in various parts of the city to reach out to the public. Medical officers, doctors and nurses from various private hospitals and employees of DBC have been roped in to run the camps and help the needy.

Also, Coimbatore Medical College Hospital (CMCH) Dean, ESI Hospital dean along with private insurance co-ordinators are also conducting medical camps.
