Desilting for monsoon preparedness

Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner and Special Officer K Vijay Karthikeyan inspected water bodies in the city today and gave instructions to officials regarding the desilting process.
The desilting works have been going on in the city for the upcoming north east monsoons. As part of the proccedings, the commissioner and his team visited Muthanan Kulam in RS Puram today. During the visit, he said that “precautions are been made in advance to meet the arrrival of monsoon. The cleaning process includes heavy crane lifting processes.”
City engineer Rajendran and other officials were also present for the visit.
