Dinakaran effigy burnt

Supporters of Municipal Administration Minister S.P. Velumani burnt the effigy of AIADMK (Amma) Deputy General Secretary T.T.V. Dinakaran in various parts of the city on Monday.
The Minister’s supporters condemned Dinakaran for removing Velumani from the post of Secretary of Coimbatore Rural District and burnt his effigy at Kunniyamuthur, R.S. Puram and various places in Thondamuthur constituency.
They also raised slogans against Sasikala and Dinakaran. Police rushed to the spot and appealed to them to disperse.
