Duo held for possessing 15 kilos of sandalwood chunks

Two motorcycle-borne men were arrested in the early hours of today for possessing 15 kilos of sandalwood bits, on the outskirts of Coimbatore.
Police, during their morning rounds, noticed the youth moving in a suspicious manner. They tried to take diversion as soon as they saw the cops around 5.30 AM, in Kanjikonampalayam. However, the police managed to chase and nab them, with the help of public.
On search, police found chunks of sandalwood, weighing 15 kilos, wrapped in a cloth. Both were taken to custody. The sandalwood and the vehicle were impounded.
