Early disbursement of compensation for Airport land sought

Coimbatore: A section of residents, whose lands are being acquired for expansion of Airport here, today urged the district administration to expedite the disbursement of compensation for their lands.
The residents, who submitted a petition to the new Collector, K Rajamani, appealed to him to look into the issue and take steps for early settlement of their dues.
After prolonged negotiations, the Government, Airport Authority of India and the residents had agreed for the compensation and delay in providing compensation has upset many landowners. they sad.
