As part of investigation in the break-in and murder of a security guard in Kodanadu Bungalow, police today held inquiry with Dhanapal, the elder brother of key suspect and deceased Kanagaraj, a former driver of late Chief Minister, Jayalalithaa.

The inquiry was held in Kothagiri for four and hours, police said.

Coming out after the inquiry, Dhanpal told reporters that there was political interference in the case and his brother was made a scapegoat.

Kanagaraj was not involved in this and has no role in the break-in and murder of the guard, he said.

Though police claimed that the incident in which Kanagaraj was killed near Salem was an accident, there was no proper evidence that goes to show that it was only an accident , Dhanpal, who is a AIADMK leader in Salem district, alleged.

“If the case is not going in the direction, due to political intervention, I will definitely approach the Court,” Dhanpal added.
