Election Commission reviews preparations

Shuba Gupta, the officer appointed by the Election Commission inspected the constituencies of kinathukadavu and Singanallur in Coimbatore on Monday.
Since these constituencies got low turn outs in the previous elections, Shuba asked the officials to ensure that all the basic facilities are provided in the polling booths in both the constituencies so that 100 per cent polling is ensured in the constituencies.
Along with Shuba, Ramasamy, Returning Officer of Kinathukadavu and Mohan Returning Officer of Singanallur also participated in the awareness campaign.
During the awareness drive people were educated on how to use the voting machine and also distributed handouts to the public.
A discussion was held among the electoral officials on the facilities to be provided at the District Collectorate in the presence of the District Electoral Officer Archana Patnaik.
