In the last five years alone, around 1000 women have benefited from the project, we were informed.

Currently, we are offering training for them in batches,” Lakshmi Ramachandran, former chairperson of FLO said.

Under their women empowerment (WE) in transport the Coimbatore chapter of FLO would help women learn driving cars.

“We have partnered with Maruti for WE in Transport. Interested persons will be offered three months training in driving a four wheeler.
