Encroachments removed at Ganapathy

The Department of Highways was involved in the removal of encroachments at Ganapathy here on today.
This has been going on for the past two days and officials have been using machines for this purpose. Encroachments from Ganapathy Milk market to Ramakrishna Hospital were removed.
According to sources in the Department of Highways, the 15-ft area has been reduced to 7-ft due to encroachment. The flyover construction work is underway in Gandhipuram, so public were using Aavarampalayam as the alternative route
