At a time when crime against women is on the rise and women who travel alone hesitate to check into a hotel or guest houses, there is a good news for them.

Coimbatore-based Hotel Kiscol Grands at Tatabad, that opened recently, has major plans to ensure safety of women guests, especially those who travel alone.

“We have made sure that women who are travelling alone will be provided with a room that is very close to the elevator. Only our women staff will offer room service to them and there will be no room service to them after 10.30 p.m.,” its general manager Jayaram Radhakrishnan told reporters here today.

On the services offered by the four-star hotel to the general public, its managing director, T.S.P. Kannappan, said the Kiscol Groups plan to open a roof-top garden restaurant soon. “We are planning to launch theme-based services in the restaurant,” he added.

Right now, their all-day multi-cuisine restaurant offers a wide variety of delicacies. Kiscol Grands also has separate banquet halls and board rooms that can accommodate up to 150 people.

Thirumalai Raja, executive director of the Kiscol Groups, said they planned to open another hotel in the city at Avarampalayam where they own a big piece of land.
