Family of three found hanging

Three members of a family—a couple and their daughter—were found dead hanging in their house near Kangeyam in Tirupur district, today.
The deceased have been identified as Sadasivam, 54, his wife Poovathal, 51, and daughter Thilkavati, 26, police said. Based on information from the neighbours that the house was unopened for long this morning, police rushed to the house in Nallurpalayam and broke open the door and found all the three hanging from the ceiling, they said.
The bodies were sent for post mortem to Kangeyam Government Hospital. The reason behind the extreme step is being investigated, they said.
