A one day farmers’ meet cum exhibition on sustainable agriculture, value addition and food safety, will be held at Karunya University here on October 5.
Scientists from agriculture, horticulture, food and nutrition fields and officials from NABARD and lead bank will share their expertise for the benefit of the farmer community during the meet, a university release said today.
Tamil Nadu Agricultural University Vice Chancellor Dr K Ramasamy will inaugurate the meet in the presence of Karunya University Chancellor Dr Paul Dhinakaran.
A special exhibition is arranged for farmers to learn about agricultural technologies, particularly on productivity, production and processing.
The meet is jointly organised by Department of Biosciences and Technology, Karunya University, Agro Forestry Farmers Producer Company Limited, Indian Council of Agricultural Research, Krishi Vigyan Kendra and Department of Agriculture and Horticulture, Coimbatore District.
