Father strangulates two daughters to death after tiff with wife

Coimbatore : In a gory incident, two daughters were strangled to death by their father, following dispute with their mother at Masakkalipalayam in the city.
According to police, Selvarani-Padmanabhan couple used to pick up quarrel for the last two years, which peaked last night.
As Selvarani left for her parent’s house after the wordy duel, following intervention of police moving around the place. However, Padmanabhan refused to send the daughters – Hema Vashini (15) and Sreeja (10) with his wife, they said.
When Selvarani returned home early on Friday, she found both the daughters lying dead, with strangulation marks on their neck and immediately informed police. Padmanabhan, working in a private firm, has been absconding.
