Female construction worker strangulated to death

A 35-year old woman construction worker was found strangulated to death near Pollachi in the district.
The woman, Shakunthala, who had accompanied one Mahalingam to the construction site, did not return home on Saturday evening, even as her husband had gone for work out side Pollachi, police said.
However, her body was found lying in Valantharayapuram, a few kilometers from Pollachi yesterday afternoon, they said.
Police has taken Mahalingam into custody late last night for interrogation.
