Floor collapse causes panic

Coimbatore : There was panic in Ammankulam area Saturday when a part of the floor of one of the rooms in an apartment constructed by Slum Clearance Board, caved in. Following this, inmates of other houses ran helter skelter..
The collapsed portion is occupied by an old woman, who is one among the 700 allottees living there for the past couple of years..
Housing board officials, along with construction workers rushed to the spot and repaired the broken floor and attempted to allay the residents’ fears.
