Ford India is all set to launch its ‘Ford Service Promise,’ by which the customers will know the exact service charge for their vehicles by just providing a few details, before even stepping into a workshop.

“The information will be on the company’s website within the next month or so. By providing details about the vehicle, like age of the vehicle, and the kilometres run, the cost of the service can be calculated at all the customer touch points,” Ford Customer Service Operations Vice President N. Prabhu told reporters in Coimbatore.

The move, he said, is aimed at making car maintenance and service pricing more transparent, and to dispel the misconception that Ford car maintenance is costly.

About the company’s expansion plans, Prabhu said there are nearly 280 workshops all over India and that the company has been opening a new workshop every fortnight in the past four years.
