Coimbatore : Former DMK MP, M Ramanathan passed away in the early hours of Friday due to age-related illness.
   
He was 84. He leaves behind his wife and three sons.
   
Ramanathan represented Coimbatore West assembly constituency in 1984 and 1989 and was also member of 11th  Lok Sabha in 1996, party sources said.
   
His last rites will be performed in the afternoon Senior party leaders, including President, M K Stalin, will be attending it, they said.
