Four youth tonsured their head at Pollachi on Thursday to pay their homage to ‘missile man’ Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.

Rafeeq, Mohammed Jinna, Majid, Ravi, Nataraj, Krishnakumar and Nataraj, working in different bakeries assembled at Pollachi bus stand and tonsured their heads one by one.

According to them, this was the least they could do for the ‘People’s President,’ who had dedicated his life for the development of the nation and inspired lakhs of students. They also paid floral tribute to the portrait kept there for the general public to pay their homage.

Meanwhile, an auto driver plied his vehicle without taking money from passengers till noon, as a tribute to the departed soul, Police said.
