Four-member gang abducts Minister’s PA at knife point from office

Coimbatore, Sept 23 : Panic gripped in Udumalpet in nearby Tirupur district Wednesday, when a four-member gang abducted the personal assistant (PA) of Animal Husbandry Minister, Udumalai Radhakrishnan at knife point.

According to police, P A, Karnan was sitting in Radhakrishnan’s (MLA) office on Ansari Street and suddenly the gang trespassed into
it and forcibly taken him in a waiting car at knife point and drove away.

Senior police officials including Tirupur DSP, Disha Mittal and DSP Ravikumar rushed to the spot and carried out inquiry, they said.Even as police are monitoring the CCTV footage in the office and
also nearby areas, vehicle checks have been intensified on Tirupur Pollachi road, police added
