Free dental camp for government school students

A free dental camp was conducted a free dental camp for students of the government elementary school near SS Kulam by Thiya Trust, an NGO, on Wednesday.
According to one of the organizers, the medical camp was aimed at spreading awareness among rural students about dental hygiene. “Normally rural students are less aware of dental hygiene. They frequently have problems like tooth decay,” he said. He further added that parents of the students should also be well-informed and aware.
The students were checked by Dr. S. Bhuvaneshwar of the Sumerekha Dental Clinic.
The organizers also added that students from 33 more government schools are going to be checked in the coming days. “We are planning to take this initiative to all the government schools in Coimbatore,” he said.
