Free medical test for 650 corporation workers

A total of 650 contract sanitary workers in the West Zone of the city corporation today underwent free medical checkup at a camp organised by the Corporation.
Doctors conducted various tests, including eye, dental, sugar and BP and ECG and echo.
While 112 workers were found to have eye defect, 246 had dental problems and 60 high blood pressure and diabetes.
The officials gave classes on the ill effects of smoking and drinking during the camp, inaugurated by Corporation Special Commissioner Dr K Vijaykarthikeyan.
