A 35-year-old man committed suicide by hanging himself in his residence near Sungam here on Sunday.
According to sources, the deceased, Nagaraj (35) from Amman Kovil Street in Sungam, was living with his wife Kokila (28). The couple had planned to construct their own house, but Nagaraj did not have enough money to start the constructions and that had put tremendous stress on him.
Frustrated by the fact that there was no money, he committed suicide by hanging himself. The Singanallur sub division police have retrieved the body and are investigating.
