Gold bars, foreign cigarettes seized from two Sharjah passengers

The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) seized six gold bars and 30 cartons of foreign-branded cigarettes from two passengers of an Air Arabia flight coming in from Sharjah early in the day today.
The DRI sleuths on checking Murshad, hailing from Kasargod in Kerala, found six gold bars, weighing nearly 700gm, hidden in his rectum, police said.
Similarly, 30 cartons of foreign cigarettes, valued at Rs 55,000, were seized from the luggage of another passenger, Yousuf, also a native of Kasargod.
Further investigations are on, said police.
