Gold, cash looted from locked house

Burglars looted 40 sovereigns of gold ornaments and over Rs.50,000 from a locked house in Tirupur.
Thangavelu, the house owner, running an electronic goods shop, on return from a tour with his family this morning, found things from a steel almirah strewn around and the ornaments and cash missing, police said.
The miscreants gained entry into the house in Kumaranandapuram by breaking open the rear door. Sniffer dog and finger print experts were pressed into service and investigations are on.
