Coimbatore : The Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) Monday requested the Tamil Nadu governor Banwarilal Purohit to release the seven convicts sentenced in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case.
A group of DYFI workers sent a memorandum by post to the Governor from the Central Telegraph Office urging him use his powers under Article 161 of the Constitution and release the convicts who were in jail for the past 28 years
