The future belongs to intelligence enterprise. Enterprises should harness technologies like artificial intelligence (AI), cloud, not only to survive but also to thrive, said Krishnakumar Natarajan, Executive Chairman, Mindtree.

Speaking at the 17th edition of Connect Coimbatore conference that began here on Friday he said that technology is the driver and differentiator, but not a cost centre.

Organised by the Coimbatore zone of CII, the meeting focussed on the theme ‘Building Intelligent Enterprises’ towards bringing in higher operational efficiency and productivity.

Inaugurating the meet, Chairman of CII-Coimbatore Zone S. Narayanan said the event served as a platform for understanding and adopting new technological developments and best practices worldwide.

T.V. Sriram, Vice-President and Centre Head, Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions, delivered the keynote address.

Venkatesh Sundar, Founder and Chief Marketing Officer of Indusface also spoke. Cyber Security Expert Dr. Shashwat Raizada spoke on the recent cyber threats. He went on to describe about ransomware attacks and also explained the concept of bit coins.

The conference had sessions on artificial intelligence, Advantage Coimbatore and Keeping business safe. Speakers from leading industries such as Microsoft Corporation (India) Pvt Ltd, Amazon Internet Services Pvt Ltd, Cognizant Technology Solutions, Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions.

Around 200 members from the industry from across the region participated in the conference.
