Head constable threatens self-immolation over transfer

A head constable, attached to Pollachi East station, today threatened to immolate himself unhappy over his transfer.
Sethuraman, was transferred to Pollachi from Vadavalli only a month ago. In the meanwhile he received posting orders to Annur. He was upset over this sudden change in transfer as he was getting settled in the police quarters in Pollachi.
To express his displeasure, Sethuraman locked himself inside his house and threatened to immolate himself. Senior police officials rushed to his house to talk to him.
