Hearing aids and magnifiers distributed for differently-abled government school students

On Monday, the District Differently-Abled Welfare Office (DDAWO) of Coimbatore donated eight high quality hearing aids to hearing impaired students of government schools around Coimbatore hailing from humble backgrounds in the presence of the district Collector.

Along with premium quality hearing aids, DDAWO also distributed five sewing machines for women, two tricycles for handicapped persons and four magnifiers for low vision students.

V. Swarna Bhavani, Speech Pathologist and Audio Logist, also a member of DDAWO told the Covai Post that the current government is highly supportive of the differently-abled student community and is actively allocating funds for their welfare. She also added that she is proud to be a part of this initiative.
