Held for threatening bar owner at gunpoint in Coimbatore

Coimbatore : A 39-year-old man was arrested on charges of threatening a bar owner in the city at gunpoint and demanding money.
Velraj, the owner of the bar in Veerakeralam, lodged a complaint that one Shivakumar had come to his bar and demanded money pointing an air pistol. With the help of workers Shivakumar was overpowered and handed over to police.
After investigation, the accused was taken to the nearby police station in the early hours.
Police seized the 2X2 Breach load air pistol and a walkie talkie from Shivakumar, who will be produced before the court late in the evening for being remanded, police added.
