Held under Bootlegger Act

One person was detained under the Bootlegger Act for selling illicit arrack at Anbalagan Nagar in Karanthai area, Thanjavur today.
According to sources, Vasanth, son of Balasamy, had been involved in selling illicit arrack in the area. Based on the recommendations by Superintendent of Police Mahesh and documents furnished by Prohibition Enforcement Wing inspector Ganesan, District Collector N. Subbaiyan ordered Vasanth’s detention under the Act.
Subsequently he was lodged at the Tiruchi Central Prison.
