HMK distributes knives, pepper spray to women

Seeking divine intervention to protect women in the State, members of the Hindu Makkal Katchi today performed a Durga Puja in the party office.
They distributed small knives and pepper spray to the women who participated in the puja.
Later talking to reporters, the party president, Arjun Sampath, said safety of women has become a question mark now in view of increasing attacks on them, suicides and killings.
Urging the government to distribute safety devices to women, he said CCTV cameras should be installed at places where the presence of women is more.
