The Hindu Makkal Katchi (HMK) has announced that it will picket at the check posts on the Tamil Nadu-Kerala border, to protest against the vicious murders of various party-workers soon after the CPI (M)-led LDF came to power in Kerala.

Members of the RSS and AIADMK were killed by the CPI-M workers at various places soon after the party won the elections in Kerala, H.M.K president, Arjun Sampath told reporters in Coimbatore.

In order to condemn such attacks, and prevent such incidents, H.M.K has decided to organize picketing at all the check posts leading to Kerala. The dates of protest will be announced later, Arjun said.

Arjun Sampath also condemned the move of the All India Democratic Woman’s Association to enter the Sabarimala, and their obtaining court orders for the purpose. He informed that the Sabarimala temple authorities have already launched a one-crore-signature campaign. He said that his party will start collecting signature in Tamil Nadu
against this.

On DMK chief M. Karunanidhi’s letter to the Prime Minister seeking inclusion of fishermen in the list of SC/ST, Sampath said that reservation should not be given to those who have converted to other religions.
