Homage paid to Tamil Eelam martyrs at Mullivaikkal Memorial

Thanjavur: P. Nedumaran, President of World Tamils Confederation has urged the Tamil all over the world to vow to redeem from and mitigate the sufferings of the Eelam Tamils who have been experiencing untold miseries in SriLanka.

In view of the martyrs day, scores of people, holding lit-candles in their hands, paid homage in the Mullivaikkal Memorial (Mullivaikkal Ninaivu Mutram) in Thanjavur to both the civilians and militants killed in the ethnic war in SriLanka. They also paid floral tributes to the martyrs on the occasion.

Prominent persons among them included the Federation’s President P Nedumaran, ‘Puthiya Paarvai’ Editor M Natarajan, the Federation’s Puducherry State President N M Tamilmani and Tamilzhar Desiya Munnani general secretary Ayanavaram Murugesan.

Later, addressing the media persons, Mr Nedumaran said “our duty does not end up with just paying homage to the martyrs who had sacrificed their precious lives for the liberation of Eelam Tamils.”

Nedumaran also urged the Tamils all over the world to extend support and stand by their side till they are redeemed from their sufferings and breathe the air of liberation completely.
