Joining issue with BJP MP, Dr Subramanian Swamy over his remarks against Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth, Indu Makkal Katchi (IMK) today said that it will file a defamation suit against him for unnecessarily defaming the star, if Swamy continued to criticise.

Swamy has dragged many persons to the court and succeeded and if he has any evidence against Rajinikanth let him go to court and prove cheating charges, IMK President, Arjun Sampath told reporters here.

Stating that illiterate like Kamaraj has given golden rule to Tamil Nadu, he said that education or litercy was not a barometer to enter politics and provide governance and calling Rajinikanth as illiterate was condemnable.

There was nothing wrong for Rajinikanth to enter in politics, as he had the backing of lakhs of people, he said.

It was good that Swamy did not support Rajinikanth, since whomever he has supported like Chandraswamy, V K Sasikala and T T V Dinakaran, all have gone to jail, Sampath said.

IMK, in consultation with the Rajinikanth Fans Association, will move Court for defamation, if Swamy continued to criticise Rajinikanth without going to Court and prove his charges, Sampath said.
