Impersonator arrested for threatening house owner

Coimbatore : A man was arrested Thursday for impersonating as IPS officer and issuing threat to a house owner, to not not to seek rent from his mother in law who was staying there.

According to police, Soorajkumar had gone to the house owner yesterday as an IPS officer from Hyderabad attached to Special Task Force.

His mother in law was staying in a rented house in Sundarapuram and had not paid rent for the last eight months.

Sooraj Kuma threatened to arrest the house owner, if he tried to harass his mother in law over the rent and also tried to vacate the house.

Based on the complaint by the house owner, police took the impersonator late last night and after carrying out inquiry arrested him this morning, they said.
