India Post has launched personalized commemorative postage stamps. Now you can pick an image of your choice – your own photographs, pictures of your institutions, or your company’s logo – and, print it on sheets of postage stamps.

From personalized coffee mugs and t-shirts to photo cakes, My Stamps, having one’s image or logo of the institution printed alongside the selected commemorative postage stamp, is the next step in product customization, courtesy India Post.

A release from India Post said that personalization is achieved by printing a thumbnail photograph of the image chosen by the customer, alongside the chosen Commemorative postage stamp.

My Stamp initiative was first introduced in India during the World Philatelic Exhibition INPIDEX-2011. There was considerable demand for it during the exhibition and India Post has received several requests to resume its printing. The enthusiasm from stamp lovers has prompted India Post to extend My Stamp scheme to cover all the postal circles in the country. India Post has made available this scheme in selected philatelic bureaus and post offices that are located in tourist destinations across the country.

Back home in Coimbatore, India Post recently set up a My Stamp kiosk for one day at Fun Mall on Avinashi Road. It was an exercise to create awareness about these stamps. On-the-spot My Stamps were also made available to applicants on that day.
