A yoga instructor successfully completed 69 hours of continuous yoga at Pollachi in an attempt to enter the Guinness Book of Records.
V. Gunasekharan began the asanas at 5 p.m. on June 18 and completed it today at 2 p.m. with a five minute break after every one hour, during which time he consumed water and fruits. He performed 200 asanas.
Though an adjudicator from the Guinness was not present, videos and photographs were taken as evidence. Over 1000 people witnessed the performance at a marriage hall at Kotampatti on the Pollachi-Palladam road.
