Int’l Day Against Drug Abuse: NSS volunteers take out rally

More than 200 NSS volunteers took part in a rally organised by the Sankara College of Science and Commerce, in association with the Police department, in order to create awareness against the use of drugs and illicit trafficking.

Dr. H. Balakrishnan, Principal of Sankara College ,K. Sundar Raj, Deputy Commissioner (Law and Order) and O. Anand, Inspector of Police, Saravanampatti Police Station flagged off the rally at the Ganapati Bus Stand and terminated at CMS School.

S. Bernard Edward, Vice-Principal, Sankara College, and Murugesan, Traffic Police, led the rallyists. NSS Programme Officer R. Kalaivani, in her address, spoke on the ill effects of drugs.
