Investiture ceremony at Sainik School held

The investiture ceremony of Sainik School in Amaravathinagar in Tirupur district was held today.
Lt. Gen. P.M. Hariz, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief Southern Command and Colonel of the Mechanised Infantry Regiment, an alumni, bestowed the ranks on the appointment cadets and delivered the ceremonial address, a press release said here.
Hariz is an alumni of the school and passed out in 1973 and as a cadet he was meritorious in academics as also excelled in sports and games and NCC.
Hailing from Kozhikode in Kerala, Hariz was visiting the school after 43 years to preside over the investiture ceremony.
