Jallikkattu: Inquiry commission to examine witnesses in Madurai

The Inquiry Commission, headed by Justice (retd) S. Rajeswaran of the Madras High Court, appointed by the State Government to probe the the circumstances leading to the law and order problem during the Jallikkattu protests would examine the witnesses at Madurai for three days from October 4.

According to a statement issued by the Commission, the witnesses would be examined at Circuit House. Summons have already been issued to those who had filed affidavits before the Commission. (Totally 1949 affidavits have been filed before the Commission.)

The Commission held its sitting in Coimbatore for three days from August 16.
