The TNCC chief, E.V.K.S. Elangovan, has said that the Chief Minister, Jayalalithaa, will certainly not come out clean in the disproportionate wealth case.

“Even though the verdict has been postponed, she will be punished,” he told reporters here on Tuesday.

He said his party would stage demonstration in all district headquarters condemning ‘the functioning of the Election Commission during the just concluded Assembly elections.’

On the passage of the long pending GST Bill, Elangovan said his party never stopped good schemes. “In this case the government has to accept the amendments proposed by the Congress,” he added.

On Congress vice-president taking over as party chief, he said it would do good for the party if Rahul took charge.
