In a bizarre incident, an employee of Sri Kumaran Thanga Maligai House, a chain of jewellery retailer, was reportedly attacked by two senior employees for combing his hair in the store near Sivananda Colony in Coimbatore, on Saturday.

According to the police, M. Naveen Kumar (22) was working at the jewellery store as salesman for the past one month. On September 13, he had combed his hair in the store, which had irked Gopal, the Assistant General Manager of the store. He had called Naveen Kumar for inquiry, and further abused him both physically and verbally, along with supervisor Sathish.

The two had further reportedly threatened that they would give a complaint to the police accusing Naveen of stealing jewellery from the store.

Based on a complaint given to the police, an FIR has been registered against Sathish and Gopal. Further investigations are on.
