Coimbatore : Police are on the lookout for a man who looted Rs.2 crore worth of gold ornaments and Rs.1 lakh in cash from a private finance firm in Ramanathapuram in the city last evening, policed said today.

The man, covering his face with a handkerchief, entered the office and assaulted two women employees who fell unconscious. He then decamped with Rs.1 lakh kept in the table and 812 gram of jewellery worth about Rs 2 crore.

Police rushed to the spot along with fingerprint experts and a sniffer dog.

Five special teams have been formed to nab the person, who was found moving about with face covered with a handkerchief in the CCTV footage,.
