Kalam’s close aide Ponraj to enter politics

Ponraj Vellaichamy, scientist and technical advisor to former President late A.P.J. Abdul Kalam (APJ) will officially make his entry into politics this month.
R. Senthuran, a Kalam loyalist who is working towards making Vision 2020 a reality, told this to a press conference here today.
Explaining the reason behind Ponraj’s decision to enter politics, Senthuran said that it was his wish to see Vision 2020 accomplished. A public function to formally induct Ponraj into politics is scheduled to be held in Tamil Nadu on February 26 and 27.
Ponraj, besides being a scientist and technical advisor, has also co-authored the book ‘Manifesto for Change’ along with Dr. Kalam in 2014.
“Ponraj is the right person who will ably guide people so that we as a nation can achieve the Vision 2010,” Senthuran said.
