Karat to attend CPI-M State committee meeting

CPI-M politburo member Prakash Karat, party’s Central Committee members T.K. Rangarajan, U. Vasuki and State unit Secretary G. Ramakrishnan will be among the senior leaders to participate in the two-day Tamil Nadu State Committee meeting of CPI-M beginning here on June 1.

The meeting will chalk out its future political strategy, taking into account the performance of both the Centre and Tamil Nadu governments, a party release said today.

The meeting will also adopt important resolutions on various issues confronting the people of the country and the State, due to what it termed as the “anti-people policies”, party district secretary, V. Ramamurthy said in the release.

Central Committee members P. Sampath, A. Soundararajan, K. Balakrishnan and K. Varadarajan will also attend the meeting.
