Nirmal Kumar from Thiruvallur, Gopi and Dinesh Raj from Chennai, won the first, second and third prizes at the 32nd Tamil Nadu State Senior Karate Championship 2015 held here on Saturday.

The event was conducted by Tamil sports Karate Association at Kumaraguru College of Technology.

Kata and Kumite were the two segments conducted for various age groups for both women and men. The participants were grouped according to different categories of weight. Students from various parts of Tamil Nadu participated in the event.

A total of 17 events were conducted on Friday and Saturday. Karate R. Thiagarajan, President of Tamil Nadu Sports Karate Association, was the chief guest for the event.
