MLA Karthik escapes unhurt after lorry hits car

DMK legislator N Karthik today escaped unhurt after his car was hit by a lorry on Trichy Road in the city.
Karthik, representing Singanallur, was returning after inspecting areas flooded after heavy rain last night.
As the car reached Perks School junction, a lorry came from left side and hit on the door side Karthik was sitting, pushing the vehicle some 10 feet, police said. None in the vehicle suffered injuries.
Police are interrogating the lorry driver.
