Kochi: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Saturday lashed out at PWD officials for their ‘inefficiency and greed’.

Inaugurating a meeting of the PWD Association in Thiruvananthapuram, he said the officials are getting fairly good remuneration for enjoying good standard of living. And yet some of them were unhappy. “They want to get money from other sources showing their greed,” he said.

The money granted by NABARD is being used for road work without any groundwork.

The department has earned the wrath of the public due to its deeds in the past. This should change and it cannot continue as it is doing now, he added.
