KVB total business up on robust credit growth in H1

Coimbatore : Backed by a robust credit growth of 9 per cent, the total business of Karur Vysya Bank (KVB) has grown by Rs 5,765 crore year-on-year to Rs 1,06,402 crore at the end of the first half of this fiscal.

Total advances grew by Rs 3,904 crore to Rs 48,141 crore and deposits to Rs 58,262 crore from Rs 56,400 crore.

CASA share was up at 30 per cent (Rs.17,201 crore) up from 28 per cent a year ago.

The operating profit for the quarter was Rs 361 crore, bank managing director and CEO P R Seshadri said, adding that net profit for the quarter rose by 10.69 per cent to Rs 84 crore compares to the same period last year.

Gross NPA as on September 30 was Rs 3,707 crore (7.7 per cent) and net NPA Rs 2,052 crore (4.41 per cent).
