Leopard creates panic in Valparai and Kothagiri

Panic gripped in Valparai, when a leopard cub was found sleeping in the kitchen of an estate worker yesterday.
The inmates, who woke up late in the morning was shocked to find the cub sleeping in the kitchen and immediately informed forest department officials, who rushed to the spot and took it away, police said today.
The residents are tense, anticipating that the mother leopardess may come in search of the cub and enter households, police said.
Meanwhile, the movement of a leopard was caught in a secret camera kept in a human habitat in Kothagiri in Nilgiris district by forest
department, triggering panic like situation, police said.
The department officials are keeping a close watch in these areas.
